Just two hours by plane, more than 20 courses, and golf for almost the whole year: Mallorca works brilliantly when a golf weekend is meant to feel like an actual getaway, not just another round at your home club. What really sets the island apart are the short transfers. From hotel to tee, it is rarely more than 30 minutes.

The courses worth playing

Alcanada near Alcúdia, with that lighthouse panorama, is widely seen as the island's most beautiful course. Son Gual, just outside Palma, asks proper questions with its championship credentials. Golf Santa Ponsa comes with Ryder Cup history. And Canyamel in the east has a lovely setting, with valleys between mountains and sea. Nearly all courses rent out modern clubs, so your bag can stay at home.

When the island is at its best

March to May and October are the sweet spot: green fairways, 20–25 °C, villages with a bit of life in them. Winter is mild enough for golf too, which helps, and many hotels stay open while prices drop noticeably. Only in high summer is it wiser to tee off early, then spend the rest of the day at the beach or by the pool.

💡 Reisedrop tip: Make Palma your base and pair it with nearby courses. In the evening, you've got old town streets, tapas and that harbour atmosphere. In the 'Golf holidays' travel world, you'll find hotels with a course nearby at a glance.
